A delicacy? Nice. Yeah i researched Empandas and i found out that it consists of green papya, chopped llocano sausage, mung beans and an egg yolk. Man that sounds tasty.

For three years now along with my husband we volunteer our Friday nights to a coffee house in our downtown section of the city for homeless people where we provide them with free food, coffee games to play, chat and just a safe haven for a few hours. They really look forward to this, lots of music to enjoy.
W\e always leave extra in the parking meter and my husband believes in always letting one or two cars go when they are trying to leave a side road or parking lot.
I always tip the paper boy to show how thankful we are for his service after all he comes in all kinds of weather.
These are just a few but every act like you say a smile goes a long ways :)

I think little things are the best! Today at the market, I gave away the first cart I grabbed to an older lady that seemed very grateful for the small act. Getting doors can be a little crazy when at a place like the Post Office, but it is cool to hold it open for a few people (all getting in line before you) and smiling! Tonight a girl came by selling the newspaper for a college fund raising thing. I hate the paper, but talked to her long enough to find out I could donate the paper to a local school and still help her with her college fund raising - loved that! Had an old lady crossing in front of my car today and stopped way back, not wanting her to be rushed and maybe fall. She was using a walker and was really old! Gave her the thumbs up and smiled at her when she looked at me - very worried. Nice little acts of kindness are an awesome way to encourage and bless lots of peoples lives - in little ways. A neighbor girl was walking to the library tonight to apply for a few more jobs online. As I asked what she was doing and then I asked her in and let her do the job apps on my computer, saving her a bit of a walk.... That was today! Looking for, and taking the extra few minutes to bless people around you is as amazing Holiday Gift and costs soooo very little!!!

I work in a hospital sleep center. A few years ago, a few weeks before Christmas, there had been a terrible car accident on a local highway in which a young boy was seriously injured and his parents killed. The boy was in the hospital at which I worked, in intensive care. I suggested to the staff that instead of our regular holiday polyanna, we pool our money and send a donation towards the boy's medical expenses. The staff liked the idea and that's what we did. I hope it made a difference.
