I spent a lot of money on a drone and because I was busy writing a book at the time and did not wish to be distracted I gave it to a friend.

Someone I work with had asked for Christmas off, since this was her year with her son, but was not given it. Since this was my sons year with my ex-husband, I told her I would work for her so she could spend Christmas with her son.

Well, it was kind of a mixed bag for me. Part of why I was working was because I just didn't want to talk about Christmas. My father passed 2 months ago, and every time I thought about Christmas without him I'd start crying. So work helped me keep my mind off it. But I was taking tech support phone calls, so the customer would always wish me a merry Christmas as they were hanging up, which started me crying...

I was touched by an elderly man (via work) that was unable to pay his water bill until next month due to having to wait for his next SS check. I could not bear to think of him without water! I was able to facilitate his water bill being paid without him knowing it, so he will not have his water turned off. : ) It's the little things... May God bless us, everyone!

A couple days ago I was working at a chain department store when a young mom came in to exchange a coat her son received as a gift - from his social worker. Because we had to go up a size, it meant going from the little boys department to the big boys department which also meant an increase in pricing. She didn't have the money to pay the price difference. I picked out a nice, very warm coat for her son which cost more than the one she was exchanging. She gave me a very confused look and I told her that every child should be warm in the winter and that I wanted to pay the difference to make sure her son was warm. We both got teary and gave each other a hug... then we picked out some nice warm mittens too.

I was lucky to have a $100 bill in my pocket saving it for something special ,when I saw it:) I was at Walmart and a clerk started telling me of all her woes and how she had lost faith in the goodness of God:( I absolutely felt compelled to give her my special $100 bill:) I can't begin to tell you how grateful she was and she felt I was an angel:) I pray it restored her faith in our Heavenly Father and peace entered her spirit:) I saw her a couple months later and said she was able to visit her daughter in another city whom she had not seen in a long time due to no money! I have not seen her again:) blessings my friends:) life is full of difficulties but our Heavenly Father is always there for all of us:)

12/27/2014 11:40:59 AM - Emy - California
