I was really depressed today. Some really miserable things are happening in my life. Temporarily anyway. I think God must have helped me find this website. I found it accidently but I have read every Random Act of Kindness and you are all wonderful people. You all filled my heart so much and gave me Christmas spirit. I am no longer depressed and I know God will see me through this time. This website confirmed to me that there are angels in this world. That means all of you. Thank you for lifting me up. I hope you all the best holiday of your life this year.

Jenny, this Christmas has also brought lots of tears and unhappiness to my family as well........but my grandsons came over and decorated my Christmas tree, crooked garlands and all.........and it's snowing outside, and my grandsons will see Santa this year, (if you know what I mean!), so what else could I want? Health and happiness to you and your family, that's all we can hope for!

Actually I don't feel comfortable talking about my acts of kindness but I will tell you about my husbands. We have an elderly lady living next door. She is extremely mean-spirited as a matter of fact, most of her relatives also live on our street and do not speak to her unless necessary. Anyway, my husband has had a few run ins with her but still every storm we get in the winter, he goes over and snowblows her driveway and cleans off her walk. My husband grew up being taught that neighbors must take care of the elderly. We are sending out invitations to a neighborhood open house in our home and we are sending her an invitation also. By the way, she has never thanked my husband. He doesn't do it to be thanked anyway.

12/11/2009 4:45:04 PM - Trinity - Pennsylvania

You have a great husband!!!!

12/11/2009 5:10:14 PM. - Debbie - Nashua NH

Thank you, Trinity. I will probably keep him. We both really try to be selfless people. Two days before Thanksgiving, he went out with a friend of his and bought 10 complete turkey dinners and brought them to the local soup kitchen. It was a spur of the moment thing but a wonderful thought and action. I was very proud of him.

you guys must be so generous! I ? ppl like that!

12/13/2009 6:55:18 AM. - Debbie - Nashua NH

Thank you all for your wishes. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday also. Jenny, my husband and I do whatever we can but did you ever hear the phrase "no good deed goes unpunished"? Well I have found that to be the case sometimes but I don't care because that's who I am. Like the other phrase God will not give you anything that he doesn't think you can handle. I know he is there to help me so we really are blessed.

12/13/2009 8:29:34 AM. - Jenny - Gilbert, Az

My random act of kindness was to donate my time to help a family in need, other than my own. There is a family associated with my daughter's Girl Scout Troop that was having some difficulty. There was Chid protective Service involment and the family was at risk of being seperated. Myself and several other members of our community stepped up and did necessary cleaning and repairs to keep this family together. You see, this is two families combined in one home, where both mothers are site impaired, and because of this, they did not know the extent of harm they were imposing on their sighted children. There is now a team of neighbors in place to assist this family so that there is no longer a need to divide the children up and put them into foster care. They are not unfit parents, they just need extra assistance.

my random act of kindness was about 1 year ago when i saw a single mom at a store and she got all of her 5 kids presents when she was checking her items out the total came out to $125.00ish and she only had 110.00 she was rifiling throgh her purse to find the other 15 dollars turns out she only took $110.00 out of her bank account that day.she was about to put all the items back until i came up and gave her my $15.00 because i knew that was the right thing to do...i was just gonna buy gum and candy but i thought giving it to someone who really needed it was better. When she got done paying for her stuff she told me THANK YOU SOO MUCH of course i said your welcome..every kid should open atleast one present on the holidays.
