12/12/2011 Our family helps a family in our area each year. The social worker gives us a needy family. This year there is 2, 3 and 5 year old children. We buy clothes and one toy for each. We also buy educational books. Each child gets a stocking. We supply a fruit basket and some food also or what ever is needed. We get the mom and dad a gift also. Our church gives each member a candy treet each year and we will give ours to this needy family as well. We have fun shopping and wrapping the gifts. The social worker will deliver the gifts on the Dec 23rd. We remain a secret shopper. We have been able to help for the last 5 years.

I treated my 5th graders and their parents to a pizzsa party at CICI's Pizza. Many of my students never get to go anywhere because their parents cannot afford it. We ate pizza and played games for 2 hours. It was so rewarding just seeing the happiness on the kids face!!!

A friend and I worked with a lady, and her husband lost his job, just before Christmas. They had 3 children, and know that she did not make enough to cover the bills, rent and Christmas, my friend and I bought the childrens toys,clothes, a tree, with decorations, and the fixing for a christmas dinner. We left the the stuff on their doorstep, and when she arrived home from picking up the kids and work it was sitting on her door step.. She told us the next day what had happen, and if we new who did it, we so no we didn't, It felt great to help her family,

I was in the grocery store and this old woman couldn't get to the door. She was in a wheel chair. So i pushed her to the door and helped her get out

Im not the type to sit down and screw around with yarn but my fiance thought it would be kind if we knitted/crotchet(whatever its called) a bunch of hats for the needy. At first i was just gonna buy them in bulk at the store but i thought maybe if i put myself into it rather than money then i can show my dedication and kindness to my fellow man. im on my 42nd hat as of today and ive only been at it for 11 days. i still got more to do. I didnt know yarn can come in so many colors lol
