12/15/2010 4:38:20 PM - Emma - Arizona

I was at my moms hospital where she works (phoenix childrens hospital) and I could not believe how many people were suffering through cancer and cystic fibrosis. Including my best friend. I knew I couldn't just stand there and watch it all happen. So I started donating wigs, clothes, toys and other things to help make their lives less miserable.

Apreciate your life!

My daughter wanted to play Santa for a friend who isn't going to be able to have much of a Christmas this year. So she got a few of us together to put in and she is leaving cash for her friend to be able to buy some Christmas for her children or buy food for a Christmas dinner. Of course, the cash will be left from St. Nick without anyone seeing it happen :) I am very proud to be part of my daughter's random act of kindness!

Hooray for her..... and you! Keep encouraging that spirit... it will change the world!

I am writing this post to tell you how much I truly appreciate this site; I stumbled upon this quite by accident, but have spent two hours crying and laughing reading posts. I have done acts of random kindness but they have been few and far between; this site has INSPIRED ME to be to be a more selfless person. A few moments of time can make a world of difference for someone.
I have been thinking of the word "humane" derived from human; (it is supposed to mean kind and caring, without causing suffering) but how many us humans actually fit that description?
How many of us are so focused on our own problems we can't see the world of suffering (much greater than our own) around us.
So from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for providing this forum and to the posters who have shared their acts.
Lets not let the chain of love end with ourselves, but pass it on every chance we get.
Love and Hugs to everyone and Merry Christmas
(May the Christmas Spirit be "Never Ending"

Thank you so much for the kind words. Random acts of kindness are truly contagious and I'm glad you understand the spirit of this forum! We've read every post since the first, and it's truly inspired my family as well. Merry Christmas all!

I stumbled across this site by accident, too, while I was selecting Christmas hymns to post on my facebook profile. Thank you everyone for sharing your acts of kindness with me and letting me share mine with you.

My daughter & I participate in the Giving Tree each Christmas time, purchasing gifts for children who may not receive anything. Then we volunteer to help wrap the donated presents dropped off for the some 200 children. It feels nice to help others. My daughter I & live by this scripture year-round, Matthew 6:4 "that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly." This passage is so true.

God Bless you all! Merry Christmas

I've been spending the past couple weeks giving hats and gloves to homeless people.

12/15/2010 12:35:01 PM - Gina - Georgia

That's very nice to do. I give blankets and food to the homeless every year even after Christmas because that's when the crowd dies down.

12/15/2010 1:48:48 PM - Haley - Woonsocket

That is so sweet and thoughtful........

12/16/2010 7:37:35 PM. - Elle - Saskatchewan, Canada

That is great... THANK YOU!!

And all of you.......... dont forget that homeless people are homeless ALL year.
