I was visiting my daughter in Santa Nella CA during thanksgiving. My grandson's friend, 10 yr. old Eli was running around with shoes that had holes on the bottom. My grandson and I went to wallmart and bought him a pair of shoes. He needed them the very next day because it began to rain. He has 2 sibling that I also wanted to buy shoes for but they could hold out until I can make their shoes a christmas gift.

I pay it BACK! When I go through the drive through at a fast food restaurant I pay for the person behind me. I love to look in my rear view mirror to see the look on their faces1

My husband went to all the local parks right after dark and made sand castles and kingdoms so the kids would have something amazing to see the next morning when they got to the park.

My whole family collects their change for about 3 - 4 months and we put it in a jar, and on chirstmas eve we place in on the front steps of the house of someone we know is struggling. it usually has 3 or 4 hundred dollars in it.

I regularly make food ( sandwiches/soup/bread) and take to the people who need it.

I really like the change idea... so many people could use our change we just keep lying around!!!

OMG! That is the nicest thing I have ever heard! Keep it up!!

Last year on a Saturday morning during Christmas time on one of our coldest days here in Savannah, which was about 19 degrees, I was on my way to the Crispy Creme Doughnut to use a coupon I had for free doughnuts and get a nice cup of some of their delicious hot coffee. In route, I spyed a homeless man sitting on a bench in front of an old antique store off the side of the road all by himself with just a thin blue jean jacket on. I knew how cold it was outside and felt so sorry for him sitting out there freezing like he was. So, I continued on to the Crispy Creme thinking about this man the whole time and wondering what I could do to make his day better. When I got to the Crispy Creme I got my doughnuts and a nice cup of hot coffee and drove off; as I drove down the road I kept thinking about that poor man and how cold it was outside, so I turned around and went back to the Crispy Creme and got him a large cup of hot coffee too. I drove down the road to where he was sitting and drove up in front of him and got out of my vehicle and handed him his cup of hot coffee and offered him several doughnuts. He looked at me and I almost couldn't speak from tearing up, but I managed to say Merry Christmas and that I hoped he had a nice day. I was wondering the whole time he was looking at me how this man got in this situation. He was a young man and had beautiful blue eyes. I thought to myself that nothing has ever made me feel better than my little act of kindness that morning. I wished I could had done more for this person, so I went home and gathered some blankets and an old sweat shirt jacket to take back to him, but he was gone. I still think about this person and always look to see if he is sitting some where, but have not seen him since that day.

Today I gave encouraging words to a second grade teacher who was just so sad and down about her class. I explained to her that her work with the children was not done in vain. That if she reached just one of those children then she has gave the world hope in it's future since he children are our future. She sounded better and said she know but sometime it is good to hear it from someone else. Afterward I prayed for the world of children and the teachers. Material things are not as important as prayer.

I love you. I too am a second grade teacher and appreciate your prayers.

I croche neck scarfs all year, wrap them and then give them out to the homeless on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. I believe everyone should have something to open for Christmas. I normally have about 100- 150 scarfs by Christmas Eve. I work off of all donated yard from friends and family.

THE NICEST THING IS TO DO SOMETHING NICE FOR SOMEONE WITHOUT THEM KNOWING WHO DID IT. YOU YOURSELF FEEL GOOD, AND THE PERSON YOU HELPED FEELS LIKE SOMEONE CARES!
