A child was looking at some perfume for his mom and asked me if he had enough money to buy it. He was short of money so I gave him the $10.00 extra he needed then helped him pick out a gift bag and a card. The look of love and happiness on his face was priceless. he thanked me, hugged me and wished me a Merry Christmas. He hugged the gift and he walked home with it.

Today we were checking our groceries out and there were gift bags on all the sales counters offering customers an opportunity to purchase them for families who are not so fortunate. It seems like such a small thing to do and we challenge everyone to make a difference in another persons life with an act of kindness. Small things matter ??

I didn't do it - it was done for/to me.

I'd been visiting my brother in hospital (heart problem) and trying to change a $20 so I'd have $2.75 bus fare. It was pouring, slashing rain and I couldn't find a coffee shop or convenience store in the unfamiliar city.

Desperate to catch the bus that would take me to the last ferry, I went into a high-end clothing store. The cashier was reluctant to make change, but appeared willing to do so. A different salesperson muttered "Just a minute" and went into the storeroom. He returned with two bus tickets and told me where to catch the bus.

I was thrilled to return home after a harrowing week with my brother. I wanted to return the kindness, so after googling the store and getting the person's name, I mailed the extra ticket along with a Starbucks giftcard. That's what the kindness of strangers does - it inspires kindness in return.

My family is giving their Christmas to total strangers (one family) who needs some help. Anything that we would have spent is going to this family. Also, to try to keep the young children believing, I am offering my services as a big fat guy in a red suit to as many families as I can fit in my schedule. Currently, I have 30 families that I am doing this for. Shhhh, don't say anything about this.

I am 14 years old. I like to help people when they need kindness throughout their day. Yesterday I decided to bring everybody's garbage cans back down their driveways. Some of the people I didn't even know! I didn't know where to put the trash bins either! I never got caught helping all these people. But the next day, I saw their smiles on their faces. I knew I had done the right thing by helping others. I was not expecting a "thank you" from anybody. I wanted to spead kindness!
