I am in 8th grade and I decided that I dont want presents this year. Instead, i am asking my family to donate scarfs, hats, gloves, fast food gift cards, etc. During December I am going to give bags containing these items to the homeless. Christmas isnt about presents and i think everyone should know that.
God bless, and Merry almost Christmas!

While at Toronto airport, waiting to fly back to Ca.,I was getting a snack. Next to me was a Catholic priest paying for his snack,he was counting out from a bunch of change in his hand, I called the counter person over and paid for all of the priest's snack and more.
He thanked me--that was sufficient for me. I am a Protestant, and a man.

that really cool that you don't care what religion he is I know that some people don't like people because they are a different religion.
11/5/2010 11:34:12 AM - touched x - UK
Heyya squeky i think that your right by what you said and it is wrong to judge others by the way they look or their religion. A while back there was a boy in my school and people used to call him gay all the time, i knew this was wrong because i went out with him but it still got to him. Soon after we had to break up because he moved to a different country,i was really sad. :(
Do you know that if you cal anyone gay in the uk and they take offence to it you could be jailed for 5 years!!!

I was in Hartford looking at some colleges with my daughter and there was a family begging at a corner. I heard someone say they were gonna call the police to make him stop begging. My daugter Cassidy and I stoppped driving to the college and told the family, a man, woman, and two little boys about 7 or 8, to hurry up and get in the van. The man looked confused as if this was a trick and then heard the sirens and got into the van. I drove them back to our house and my hsband, Dave, and son, Dylan, were confused and a little worried as the family in tattered clothing followed me and Cassidy into the house. I told them we were heping the family out through a rough time. Their names were Jon, Kristie, Sean, and Taylor. We let them stay in the guest house until they could regain control of their lives. I had the two boys, Sean and Taylor, enrolled in school, because education was very important. I also helped Kristie get tuition moneyso that she could go back to college. About 2-3 months later Jon finally got a job. We had grown attached the family and decided to let them live in the guest house permanently. They were extremely grateful and we have been best friends with them snce then and today!

I had just won a drawing contest and won $1,500 the same day as i seen a man sitting on the sidewalk with a woman and 4 year old son. They were all dirty and smelly. I asked him what he ws doing and he said that he could no longer afford to pay for his house or possestions and the goverment took everything he owned away so he was forced to live on the street. I told my parents that day that i wanted to give him the money i had won. They said yes. I gave hi the money and he was so happy. 2 days later he rented an apartment in the apartment building that we lived him. At the time my father owned a glass company and he hired the man. Mew and my 4 year old little brother took some food and old furniture that we didnt want to him. The mans son was 4 like my little brother and they become best friends. To this day he still lives in the apartment and has became assistant manager of my dads glass company. His wife went to collegeand became a teacher at my school. I am 13 years old so i no longer go ther but my brother still does. His son is now 6 years old and w are still neighbors in my apartment building. He is my dad's best friend and his wife is my moms. I still remember that day and i shall never forget it.

wow u really changed the lives of that whole family and all the generations to come from them. If one of their great great grandchildren finds a cure for cancer you were a part of that. You brought "it's a wonderful life" into reality minus the ear mangling (I hope)
