My daughter is moving into a new house this week and she doesn't have any money right now. She's just been through a divorce, doesn't have a job and is trying to put a good face on it. It's obvious that she needed food, so I bought her meat, fresh fruit and vegetables, staple goods, and canned items to fill her pantry and her refrigerator as a surprise when she got home. I'm not tellling her that I was the one to do it - that's what makes it fun! Happy Holidays, everyone!

My son is stationed in Iraq and had said many times over the months that he always shares the boxes of goodies we all send with the other men in his tent because most of them get nothing from home. so for this Christmas we rounded up the troops so to speak and got friends and family to buy small things and treats & wrap them as gifts and ship them to my son so he could distribute them along with cards containing notes to these men so everyone in that tent would have a brighter Christmas so far from home. We sent a very small table top tree with battery operated lights and small ornaments for it, snacks and even christmas music to make them feel a little more connected. They all work so hard with courage and honor to keep use safe and our freedom free, this was the least we could do for them in return...to think of them and let it be known they were not forgotten and how very proud we are of them all!

I was at the grocery store and the woman in front of me was paying with a check. She didn't have her driver's license with her so the store wouldn't take her check. She had no other way to pay so I paid for her groceries for her.
