This year has been so hard for many people. We helped out a dear friend to buy gifts for her children because they couldn't afford to give their kids christmas. I also have contributed to the toys for tots for the first year. I wish I could do more but what I have done has made me feel good.

It seems to be a trend this year. So many families just can't afford to buy Christmas. How wonerful of you to help her out. While we are all scrambling to help others out financially let's not forget the true meaning of Christmas.
I think along with gifts we should take the time to teach todays children what Christmas is really about. I think a lot of us have totally forgotten and maybe this is God's way of reminding us. You are truly one of God's children. Bless you !!!

On a flight home from Dallas, TX on Thursday afternoon another passenger and I helped a young serviceman board the plane well ahead of his boarding zone so he would have space for his luggage, and then got him bumped up to first class. He deserved it more than anyone on tyhe plane.

Now there is a true Christmas gift. It brought tears to my eyes just reading what you had done. If I could I would give you a big hug. I'll bet that service man was very deserving of what you did. THANK YOU for honoring him.

Oh Wow! How cool was that? You really blessed that young man and it blessed my heart as well! God bless you!

There is a man I know who is my age. He has schizophrenia and lived in the woods for several years, summer and winter, in a tent. Four years ago a social worker talked him into integrating himself back into society and helped him find a place to live, furniture, financial help and so on. One day he came by my office to meet our business manager who was running late so I offered him a seat and some chocolate chip cookies I'd made and brought in. He remarked, "I can't believe that anyone who bakes cookies this good is single!" I said, "Neither can I", and we had a good laugh. This Christmas I made him a batch of chocolate chip cookies, along with some other treats which I will deliver tomorrow. I can't wait to see his face. He has been going through a difficult time once again so I hope this small gesture will help brighten his Christmas.
