No Crust Peach Cobbler

1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup milk
1 large can peaches (+ 1 small can if desired)
1/2 cup brown sugar
Sprinkle of cinnamon


Melt butter and pour into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix flour, sugar and baking powder: add milk, mix thoroughly, add vanilla to flour mixture, stir until mixed. Pour over butter in pan. DO NOT STIR. Add juice from peaches, DO NOT STIR. Gently lay peaches on top. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
