We take our family to dinner (one time for each child, as part of their Christmas) and one of the children gets to secretly choose another family in the restaurant to pay for. We tell the manager or waiter/waitress what we would like to do and then we watch as they tell the family chosen. This has been a sweet experience for our children--the giving of gifts anonymously.

If a child asks for a "gift card" to a department store, we purchase two gift cards and they get to go shopping for themselves AND then use the second gift card to shop for a child at a homeless shelter. They seem to see their purchases a little differently and appreciate more what they have when they see others in need.

That is truly a beautiful gesture and it teaches children the true meaning of caring for others. thank you for sharing.

I go into our local supermarkets and give every cashier $5.00 and tell then to give it to a customer they think would benefit the most from it. The cashiers know me but the tell the customer it's from Santa! I feel wonderful doing this.

If you give someone a Christmas gift that means a lot to you that shows just how much you care for the person and that you have the sweetness in your heart to do that for someone. Merry Christmas!

I often bake and have lots left over. To spread the wealth, not just at Christmas, but the whole year through, I bring cookies, cakes and breads to neighbors, friends, and the elderly. It is most endearing to see the smiles light up their faces when I give them these unexpected treats!

For you to bring yummy snacks to others shows so much. You are first of all taking time and ingredients to do this, also you are providing some people who are less fortunate with these things. Merry Christmas!

My son and I went to the local hospital and cleared the snow from all the cars in the employee parking lot, so when people came out of work they didn't have to do it.

That is such a charitable project that must have taken you and your son a nice chunk of time. I am sure that those employees appreciated you and your son clearing off their cars from snow. Wishing you and you and your son a wonderful holiday, Merry Christmas!
